Lago Huechulafquen, Junín de los Andes, Neuquén, Argentina
El Refugio del Pescador is a mountain accommodation located on the shores of Lake Huechulafquen, in the Lanín National Park, Argentina. The refuge is open to the public during the fishing season, which runs from November to April.
It has 15 rooms with capacity for up to 40 people. The rooms are simple, but comfortable and equipped with a private bathroom. The shelter also has a dining room, a kitchen, a bar and a living room.
The activities that can be done at the shelter are:
Fishing: the refuge is located in a privileged location for fishing for rainbow, brown and fontinalis trout.
Hiking: there are several trails that start from the refuge and lead to different points of interest in the park, such as the Lanín volcano, Lake Epulafquen and Lake Paimún.
Kayak: Kayaks can be rented to explore Lake Huechulafquen.
Horseback riding: you can go horseback riding to the base of the Lanín volcano.
The refuge is an ideal place for fishing and nature lovers. It offers a privileged location to enjoy the wonders of the Lanín National Park.
