For many people, this is the perfect season to appreciate nature and watch how the yellow, orange, ocher and red hues invade our eyes. Autumn itself is an attraction.
Created to be enjoyed as a new tourist attraction, the Autumn’s Scenic Road is one of the new alternatives available at Lahuen-Co to captivate visitors during this singular season.
Specially designed for the moment when the forest boasts its yellow, orange, ocher and red hues, this particular tour invites visitors to enjoy an approach un no other.
The fall transforms everything it touches. Thus, it becomes an attraction itself which summons tourists from all over the world to come and have a new experience year after year.
Lahuen-Co, Eco Lodge & Spa Termal invites guests to enjoy a unique natural event in the country: the Autumn Forest Scenic Road. An area featuring huge and well-known beauty to be appreciated in the most amazing time of the year.
The strongest hues remain for 5 to 6 weeks, from mid April to late in May. This proposal consists in enjoying hiking tours, rides and lake tours in the surroundings of the forest, to feel moved by the marvelous colors and cycles of this prodigious nature.
After the tour chosen, guests may pamper their bodies and souls at the mountain hot spring spa in Lahuen-Co, located right in the heart of the tour and displaying panoramic views of the autumn in a majestic fashion.
This autumn scenic area where this attraction unfolds belongs to Lanín National Park and is located between Junín de los Andes and San Martín de los Andes.
Provincial Route 62, the Escorial Path and Lahuen Co Hot Springs are essential elements in this land of forests with a great variety of colors and excellent preservation of species.
The circuit chosen by the guides for visitors to follow is a mountain path with plenty of lakes and ponds that leads from the Patagonian steppe to the Valdivian rainforest. It also displays a monkey-puzzle tree woodland area and the famous Lanín Volcano Glacier.
Once at the end of the trail, a river of petrified lava –known as El Escorial- and the natural hot spring waters of Lahuen-Co provide visitors with a well-deserved relax during which they can continue feeling the charms of the autumn.
Lahuen Co hot springs (whose name stands for “miraculous waters” in the Mapuche tongue) emerge in the middle of the native forest, in the core of Lanín National Park. This is a sequence of natural hot springs where the waters have been perfectly harmonized in pools featuring wooden decks that mingle with the environment. First-class accommodation and hot spring spa services complete the offer.
The native forest where this adventure is possible is part of the Northern-Patagonian Andes Forest World Biosphere Reserve and was incorporated by UNESCO as an area worth protecting in 2007.
An innovative tour in which the fall is the great protagonist. A must.
