Located in an imposing setting within the Argentinian Patagonia, the Lago Barrales Paleontological Museum in Neuquén is a true portal to the prehistoric past. Surrounded by an arid landscape and rock formations that have protected fossils for millions of years, this museum has become a benchmark for the study and dissemination of life in the age of dinosaurs.

Inside, the museum exhibits an impressive collection of fossil remains found in the region, including huge bones of sauropod dinosaurs, sharp claws of theropods, and delicate impressions of ancient plants that reveal the richness of the ecosystem of that time. In addition to its history-filled display cases, the museum has a laboratory where visitors can observe the meticulous work of paleontologists, who clean and study fossils freshly extracted from the ground.
