National parks and almost unexplored paths frame the Lagos del Furioso inn, a destination that highlights infinite Patagonia.
The Lagos del Furioso inn is located on a strip between two different and incredible lakes, Lake Pueyrredón and Lake Posadas, northwest of Santa Cruz, almost on the border with neighboring Chile. The nearest city is Perito Moreno. This destination is located on the Route 40 South circuit, 97 km from the RN40 and 30 km from the Roballos border crossing.
A renovated destination for adventurous travelers
The tourist stay is a destination that highlights what it means to walk through infinite Patagonia. Santa Cruz crossings can take the traveler to different parks and lakes, key points in the development of border towns. Very close to the border with Chile, Perito Moreno, Los Antiguos and Lago Posadas are three locations linked by Route 41, a gem designed to optimize this paradise known to few and ideal for adventurers, a more arid and stripped-down area of what could be another more popular destination of the southern mountain range. Hence, people who reach this strip between the two lakes of glacial sedimentation and deep blue and turquoise colors contemplate the connection with nature and sensory image as essential factors of enjoyment, and be appareled from the place.
The strategic distribution of the facilities gives it the special character. The nine wooden rooms are located in squares of trees, separated from the main building. Visitors can enjoy the tranquility and remote and attractive solitude of Patagonia. The development of services within Patagonia National Park and the proposals already installed in the Perito Moreno National Park propose various activities and tours that can be done by visitors staying in Lagos del Furioso. In addition to trekking, hiking and fishing, the favorite and most chosen activities, you can visit cerro de los Indios, with very old cave paintings, and the Cuerva de las Manos, an archaeological site located between Perito Moreno and Bajo Caracoles. Lake Posadas receives the waters of the Furious and Late rivers and drains into the Pueyrredón. Both are a haven for a transitional fauna between the arid steppe and the cold, humid forests. The Valley of the Gold River is condor territory, another place to enjoy the panoramic views over the lakes and the mountain range. Another suggestive walk they recommend at the inn is the route along the path of Mount Zeballos, only with a vehicle suitable for mountain roads. Jorge Cramer and Ana Bas gestated the project on one of their travels in the south, led by the legacy and tourist guides of Alberto de Agostini, a Salesian missionary who explored the Magellanic lands and ascended as soon as he stumbled along the way. It is even known that he made the first ascent of the 3700 m San Lorenzo hill, one of the landmarks of Lagos del Furioso among the proposals for seasoned adventurers and mountain lovers.
