The Nao Victoria Museum is one of the most fascinating attractions in Punta Arenas, Chile, located on the shores of the Strait of Magellan. This open-air museum allows visitors to travel back in time through full-scale replicas of iconic historic vessels that plied these waters.

The centerpiece of the museum is the Nao Victoria, a faithful reproduction of the ship that was part of Ferdinand Magellan's expedition (1519-1522) and became the first ship to circumnavigate the world. The vessel is built with traditional techniques and offers an immersive experience, where you can explore its decks, cabins, and sailing elements.

In addition to the Nao Victoria, the museum exhibits other iconic vessels, such as the James Caird II, a replica of the boat used by Ernest Shackleton on his epic voyage in Antarctica, and the HMS Beagle, the famous ship on which Charles Darwin made his historic voyage of exploration.
