Renowned with good reason within the world ski sphere, the Portillo school has been feeding the resort legend for 60 years. It is enough to say that Mike Rogan, its director, is a member of the ski display team representing the United States, and that he instructs professionals of high international level from diverse countries. To take one's first steps in snow sports, practice styles or dare to try off-piste: the instructors teach and train according to their students' wishes. Private training sessions are offered for one or more skiers, or collective classes in all skiing and snowboarding levels.
If the idea is to measure skill, there is nothing better than enrolling in the Carrera Sol and compete against the best contestants in the resort, every Thursday during the season. The winners will receive their well-deserved medals in a singular ceremony held at the hotel lounge. Now, if the perfection is serious, the Portillo school offers a training clinic for races.
There are also classes for kids over 4, with a schedule working two hours a day from Sundays to Fridays.
