After enjoying a day at the beach in the seaside resort of Las Grutas, tourists and residents go out to tour the Victor Menjoulou Artisans Fair, one of the attractions to relax and appreciate the objects made by local artisans and those from neighboring towns.
The Peatonal Viedma street, which runs parallel to the waterfront between Primera and Tercera Bajada, becomes the epicenter at sunset, where visitors can find a variety of products, including clothing, handbags, costume jewelry, fabrics, wooden objects, ceramics and sahumerios. The fair takes its name from a plastic artist from Río Negro who lived in the resort and expressed his desire to sculpt the cliff one day.
The nighttime promenade is illuminated and embellished every evening, accompanied by street performances that enhance the summer tour. The Artisans Fair hosts more than one hundred permanent stalls, with the participation of local and regional artisans.
With great enthusiasm, fairgoers and tourists await the arrival of each summer to share anecdotes and good vibes in this walk that has become a trademark of the seaside village. At dusk, the pedestrian street comes to life with the setting up of the stalls, seeking to capture the attention of visitors, who can explore various souvenirs to surprise friends and loved ones.
This fair is already a tradition in the resort, a kind of big family, with its own differences and nuances. The promenade is open every day of the summer season, from 7 p.m. until the wee hours of the morning.
